A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan’s hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens’ hands is worth $19 million.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
A tennis racket is useless in my hands,
A tennis racket in Pete Sampras’ hands is a Wimbledon Championship.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses’ hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hand it’s in.
A sling shot in my hand is a kid’s toy.
A sling shot in David’s hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hand it’s in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God’s Hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ’s Hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
As you see now, it depends whose hands it’s in. So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God’s Hands because —It depends whose hands it’s in

With all the buzz going about on twitter and blogs about great ministers and leaders falling into immorality and being caught, I thought I would share a little bit on the subject as well. Geoff Surratt has a great post as does Shaun King. I like the way both men use this as a teaching tool and a wake up call. There are several things that I do to protect my self and my family. The very first thing I do is realize I am a MAN, a man capable of falling into this trap. I can never say I would never cheat on my wife, because here again I am a man, and ALL men can cheat given the right situation. There are several things that we do as a couple to cut the “chances” down. here they are:
1. I never ride alone in a car with a female
2. never in a room alone with a female
3. I have no female phone numbers saved in my phone unless I work with them and call often
4. never email a female without CC or BCC ing my wife ( so if your female and not my mom Fannie knows what we talked about)
5. I tell my wife everything, EVERYTHING (good, bad and the ugly)
6. she has all my passwords, there is not one she does not know
7. my laptop stays in the livingroom or on my desk in plain view for all to see
these are just a few things I do to protect my family. one little screw up will cost me my family and NO one is worth my family. Yet at the time, someone maybe worth my family if I think I wont get caught, and trust me and my prison record, everyone gets caught. Please pray for these mena nd women who fall, because just like Shuan says, they got caught and YOU did’nt or not yet anyway. Love all and Peace out.

Here is the deal, this past week I have heard lots and lots of buzz about Servolution. Great idea, great plan, but you can’t please everyone with every detail but I heard some things and I thought some things that were said and I even agreed with some of it. Now on to my point, Yesterday we got up all early went to the dream center for a few hours of outreaching and then we had to leave to go to the HPAC for afternoon games, I wanted to stay and SERVE others, I wanted to BE a part of SERVOLUTION, but then I had a thought, all these people that are at the HPAC today, the concession workers, the fans, the parents, the umps and the ground crew, the score keepers, they are all just as part of servolution as the man handing out water at the corner of Foster and Winbourne. My sister in Law who watched our 2 youngest girls so that Fannie and I could go to the outreaches was just as much a part of that outreach as I was. Jesus sees the deed in the heart not the deed on the street, So I believe it is ALL the same thing, serving a hot dog, water, cleaning a yard or bringing the kids to the ball field and serving food their it is all service to the Lord and That is SERVOLUTION. So my point is this, even if you did not make one outreach, you are still part of this servolution, never think your acts go unnoticed, never think it does not matter, it matters to the lives of people we will never see or meet.

She will really be missed. She has helped me more than she will ever know.

“I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot . . . and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why . . . I succeed.”

My wife and I went into the doctors office for her 13 week check up for what would be our 6th child. I, like always, hung out in the car, making phone calls and sending e-mails and text messages…..this time I got a text from her telling me to come inside. When I got inside they told us they could not find a heart beat, the baby that once was will not ever be. I believe God will use this for good and one day we will be reunited in Heaven. I tried to simply hold my wife, trying to console her and maintain. my feelings for it all can be read in a text I sent my best buddy and brother in law Will…..baby has no heartbeat, no life, don’t call, can’t talk now. I could just stand there, as soon as I tried to talk I would cry, So I did what I knew to do, I didn’t talk. This poem I read does a good job of summing it up:
“For A Moment”
I saw for just a moment, your little arms and legs.
The little blur they said was you, but now you’ve gone away.
I heard for just a moment, the beating of your heart.
The sound that held such promise, but soon it would depart.
I dreamt for just a moment,of the day I’d hold you tight.
I’d listen for your little breath, and rock you through the night.
I cried for just a moment, when they said that you had gone.
I laid alone in silence, that seemed so very long.
I prayed for just a moment, that you would be reborn.
Into my arms you would come and forever would be warm.
I was for just a moment, your father.
Who laughed and cried and meant so much, if only for a while.
In that single moment, when I finally said farewell.
I knew that we would meet again little baby, for time will only tell.

As my blog hero started touring online experiences and blogging and twittering the results it got me thinking, can a person really go to church and be involved all from the computer? My answer is yes. I think a person can flourish given the right online setting and given the right tools to further them along in the right direction. There are hundreds of people who will not or can not enter a building known as the church, maybe it’s their past, maybe it’s a disability, maybe it’s just fear of rejection, who knows. All I know is that their is a great number of hurting people who are being reached all over the world through online church. I like going to church, I like going to watch a live preacher preach a live sermon, I like seeing my friends at church, eating a good Sunday late lunch after leaving service, but I found out I like church online as well. Look at all we can do to reach hurting people simply by logging on and answering questions, giving Godly advice to people who would never walk up to you in church and ask. that’s great. This laptop I am typing this on right now may be the next tool God uses to unlock prison doors to thousands of prisoners who are being kept captive, Heal this sick, bring love, bring hope, bring change. never put God in a box. This is great. I am excited, I am looking forward to what God does through great minds like David Song, Josh Foster and Brad Duplechain and Dan Ohlerking. Thank God people in a little Church in a little city in a BIG world listen to God and what he is to have them do. YAHOOOOOOO.. check out the following sites these are my favorite online experiences:
HPC
lifechurch.tv
seacoast
These are not all but just the ones I like to hang out at. there are many many more. Find one that’s right for you, and go to church.
