With all the buzz going about on twitter and blogs about great ministers and leaders falling into immorality and being caught, I thought I would share a little bit on the subject as well. Geoff Surratt has a great post as does Shaun King. I like the way both men use this as a teaching tool and a wake up call. There are several things that I do to protect my self and my family. The very first thing I do is realize I am a MAN, a man capable of falling into this trap. I can never say I would never cheat on my wife, because here again I am a man, and ALL men can cheat given the right situation. There are several things that we do as a couple to cut the “chances” down. here they are:

1. I never ride alone in a car with a female

2. never in a room alone with a female

3. I have no female phone numbers saved in my phone unless I work with them and call often

4. never email a female without CC or BCC ing my wife ( so if your female and not my mom Fannie knows what we talked about)

5. I tell my wife everything, EVERYTHING (good, bad and the ugly)

6. she has all my passwords, there is not one she does not know

7. my laptop stays in the livingroom or on my desk in plain view for all to see

these are just a few things I do to protect my family. one little screw up will cost me my family and NO one is worth my family. Yet at the time, someone maybe worth my family if I think I wont get caught, and trust me and my prison record, everyone gets caught. Please pray for these mena nd women who fall, because just like Shuan says, they got caught and YOU did’nt or not yet anyway. Love all and Peace out.

I had this thought while at a red light. I was looking around waiting on the light to change and looked at the mcdonalds, almost everyone in America has been to a mcdonalds in their life, kids love it, adults not so much. Here is the deal, not many adults like mcdonalds food for the taste, they like it for the convienience of the food & keeps the kids quite. Here is a problem, we can view Jesus the same way. Only go to him when we need “us” satified, kids screaming, we are in a hurry, no time for a true sit down relationship, nope only time to roll thru the drive thru window an grab a quick bite. When we only go to Jesus in times of need we treat him like a fast food remedy, but to have true communion with Jesus we need to treat it like we are at Texas de Brazil, a full on, no holds bared meat fest!! We don’t need a fast food remedy, Jesus does not want to be a quick, get my family back together, help me pay my bills save my life fast food joint, he wants to do all of that but wants it to be done like a 5 star J. Alexanders kind of way. So, Life can be hard, a Christian is not ammune to lifes trouble, but we also don’t have to worry about much because the hard part has already been done. We only have to accept the fact that Jesus does not need to be a McJesus. He wants to be the King of your life. So next time you sit down to read and pray, just super size it. Double the time, savor the savior!

This is a twit that Fannie (aka @mommadouce) twitted the other day. She was leaving the dream center in the family van, we roll big, she has a 15 passenger van, not only that, it’s a chevy, Heavy duty 1 ton extended lenght van, I told ya we roll big. This kid thought she was one of the churches transportation vans. Hahaha! We are use to the “don’t you know what causes that” and the “are you having more” but this is classic, a first for sure! Thanks for sharing this baby! You keep having those pretty Babies!!

I read this and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Guess I won’t be crossing people off the list! Who I am tontell God who I will help, who I will invite into my life. Who I am to question what you do for God! Wow! I am done! Peace out!

I hate learning, really I do. here is a short list of lessons learned:

My wife IS the love of my life

Having a son is cool, 4 daughters is breath taking

sometimes it’s OK to let a debtor keep the family ride

having a relationship with Jesus is like a railroad crossing: look. listen and stop

it’s more important to teach my kids than to play with them

Love family and like friends

it’s OK to put my phone down, really it is, I think. I am blogging from it now

This is the Get Connected Class at the Dream Center. Full to the rim, Standing room only. This is great. Can’t wait for all these people to start serving, start Living The Life God Intended. Great Stuff.

Here is the deal, this past week I have heard lots and lots of buzz about Servolution. Great idea, great plan, but you can’t  please everyone with every detail but I heard some things and I thought some things that were said and I even agreed with some of it. Now on to my point, Yesterday we got up all early went to the dream center for a few hours of outreaching and then we had to leave to go to the HPAC for afternoon games, I wanted to stay and SERVE others, I wanted to BE a part of SERVOLUTION, but then I had a thought, all these people that are at the HPAC today, the concession workers, the fans, the parents, the umps and the ground crew, the score keepers, they are all just as part of servolution as the man handing out water at the corner of Foster and Winbourne. My sister in Law who watched our 2 youngest girls so that Fannie and I could go to the outreaches was just as much a part of that outreach as I was. Jesus sees the deed in the heart not the deed on the street, So I  believe it is ALL the same thing, serving a hot dog, water, cleaning a yard or bringing the kids to the ball field and serving food their it is all service to the Lord and That is SERVOLUTION.  So my point is this, even if you did not make one outreach, you are still part of this servolution, never think your acts go unnoticed, never think it does not matter, it matters to the lives of people we will never see or meet.

This photo is my 1 year old son Seth at his 1st birthday party eating his cake. I was going back through my photo’s and just wanted to post it. I am extremly blessed to be the father of my kids, they are a joy to have around. Most of the time they remind me of the grace God as, for all I have done I sure don’t deserve the love they give me.
